2010 Charitable Beneficiary Application
We are a group of Connecticut based people making a difference in our community. Team M.A.D. is a 100% volunteer organization, with no paid employees. Our goal is to help support local charities by raising money through participating in endurance events. Formed in 2006, Team MAD has raised over $100,000 for Connecticut charities. In 2010 Team MAD will continue their pursuit of Making A Difference by selecting a charity to be their beneficiary. We are a group of dedicated, everyday people who train and participate in endurance events to raise money to make a difference in the lives of others.

We strive to raise awareness and help fund local charities to help improve the lives of others. Through running we will build a community that sees the strength in all humans and supports their needs.
CRITERIA FOR APPLICATION
The Board of Directors has adopted the following criteria for use by the Charity Selection Committee. Charities submitting proposals for consideration should be prepared to demonstrate how they meet the following criteria:
- 501(c) (3) Status - Your organization must be an IRS recognized 501 (c)(3) charity
- Nature of Charity - The charity should be directly involved with Team MAD throughout the event planning and training season.
- Location of the Charity - The principal location of the charity and its activities should be in Connecticut with a plan to distribute money throughout Connecticut.
- Financial Capacity of the Charity - The charity should demonstrate a current need for funds and that prior funds and programs have been prudently managed.
- Grant Requests - Must have an annual budget of less than $2,000,000.
